Dr. Bandemer was homegrown in Plainfield and Bolingbrook and spent her active childhood playing outside with friends, riding bikes, and making up games with her neighborhood friends. She loved babysitting and always had an affection for caring for friends and family. Her interest in working in health care was sparked in high school anatomy and biology classes where she thought she might become a pediatrician. She also continued to pursue sports and played rugby and volleyball for Plainsfield Rugby in addition to participating in weight lifting and CrossFit. Dr. Bandemer continued her education at Augustana College where she studied Biology and Spanish with the intention of becoming a nurse. While working as a CNA she began playing rugby for Palmer College of Chiropractic and quickly realized she found her passion. She gravitated toward the idea of providing proactive care to support whole body healing and optimal function instead of quick-paced, reactive medicine. Her rugby career flourished at Palmer and she served as team captain, President and Coach of the Palmer Rugby team. While there, her team won two Midwest Championships. Dr. Bandemer also had her son while attending chiropractic school which ignited a passion for working with prenatal and pediatric populations. She enjoys collaborating with other providers who serve these communities including local pediatric dentists, IBCLCs, SLPs, and myo-functional therapists to best support her patients. Dr. Bandemer is certified in the Webster Method by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Associate (ICPA) and is a full member of the ICPA. Her unique experience with athletics and motherhood and passion for providing whole body health care makes her a perfect addition to the Bolingbrook Family Chiropractic practice.
